TEHRAN, March 4 (Reuters) - Iranian missiles can reach Israeli nuclear sites, a top military commander said on Wednesday, amid persistent speculation that Israel could target facilities involved in Iran's atomic work.
"All the nuclear facilities in different parts of the land under the occupation of the Zionist regime are in the reach of Iran's missile defences," the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said according to ISNA news agency.

They can’t reach Israel’s subs.
Reading this as well as the latest coming out of Moscow, I am convinced that Russia and Iran smell blood (or weak US leadership) and are now going to try to see how far they can push this one and I think that Hussein is going to stand by and let us look like douchebags.
So Iran is expecting to violate Iraqi airspace to launch missiles?
Wonder if the UN will hear about this.
bttt
Well, if the United States won’t take missile defense seriously, you can bet the Israelis will.
...and I’m not famous yet.
Actually they could launch missiles through Saudi airspace, past Iraq.
I was going to say — does anyone know if/how many nuclear assets Israel may have that are NOT land based? They are bound to have some.
I can’t imagine Bibi Netanyahu is going to allow Israel to remain idle in the face of this OBVIOUS threaT...

Please tell me you forgot the sarcasm tag or thought you didn’t need one...
Ummmm...
I suggest taking a good look at how closely Israeli and Palestinian areas are intertwined.
Please advise how a serious attack could be made on Israel without hitting the Palestinians - assuming Teheran cares.
They don't.
I guess it would call for a shrug and a “As God wills.”
Given the apocalyptic religious viewpoint of Iran’s rulers, collateral damage and even their own demise is not an issue. MAD worked with the Russians. It will not work with the Iranian mullahs. Anyone who seeks death to the extent already shown is not someone who is going to be convinced of anything else.
It you believe otherwise, you’re fallen into the trap of believing that others only have to be convinced of the error of their ways to change their mind. You may as well try to pet a rabid dog for all of the good it will do.
The Israeli Popeye Turbo and its incredible range is a bit of an urban myth. The Israeli subs simply don’t have the range to make it into either the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea or Indian Ocean. Even if a land attack cruise missile was deployed on the subs it simply would’t have the range from the Med to hit Iran. The diesel electric subs are simply too small to carry such a missile. My personal opinion, but I think that the media have been sold a dummy over the Israeli missiles capability and especially range.
It’s interesting: I’ve had some discussions with folks who feel petting a rabid dog is OK, because “the IAEA says so”.
They “know” Iran HAS to rely on the cascade system of Uranium enrichment, and seemed shocked to learn there was a system of laser enrichment that was almost undetectable, and that would work quite well with the LEU the Russians are selling them.
I’m reminded of the pre-Pearl Harbor days - even though I was pretty young. The old Isolationist doctrines are still pretty much in vogue in some circles - 9/11 and all.
Iran doesn’t have to violate Iraqi airspace to launch long range ballistic missiles. Their trajectory would take them way above any relevant national airspace. You may aswell say that any nation that flies a low orbit sat over another country is violating national airspace.
The Palis are considered outcasts by everyone. Not one of the surrounding nations want them in their midst.
Their only value lies in their perpetual thorn in the side of the Isrealis, a platform on which to build continual discord.
In a few thousand years, perhaps the palis will wish to join the rest of civilization. Currently, and for the forseeable future, they are content with raising children to become good suicide bombers.
“Everybody” is a pretty broad term - in light of prevailing European opinions.
Personally, I think it’s kind of interesting the way the Israelis “wrapped” the Palis around some of their flanks :
making it likely they’d be among the first to go if something big happened.
On the other hand, the Europeans are slowly waking up to the realization THEY could be targeted; and, I suppose, will beg the USA (whom they love to second guess and criticize) to save them. Pretty please !
That might be a good time to say: “ How about if WE sit back and do the critique, while YOU protect yourselves ?”
