Reporting from Chicago -- A man who stabbed his first wife to death in 1985 shot and killed his second wife and her son Saturday with a replica Civil War gun, then killed himself a day later after leaving a 40-page note saying he wouldn't go back to jail, police said Tuesday.
. . .
The mother and son each had been shot once in the head, police said.
Wiley stabbed his 25-year-old wife, Ruth, to death in 1985, and was convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison two years later. He was paroled in 2000.
. . .
A relative of Kathryn Wiley-Motes said Monday that she knew about her husband's criminal history when they wed after his release from prison.

Brevity is the soul of wit.
Brevity like...that of his “30 year” sentence that saw him released in half that?
(I’ve always liked that line, dunno by whom, that went, “I’ve written you a long letter because I didn’t have time to write you a short one.”)
Chicago libs are always crying about the prison system, guess this is what they want?
So, you’re saying it was a long letter due to a short sentence?
Nut’s from day 1.
This is why we have the death penalty.
When you marry a guy who kills his wife, guess whatcha get.
How many offers of marriage has Charles Manson received?
Liberals would claim he was rehabilitated when he was released early.
Idiot, first convert to Religion of Peace,...then behead her. You get off scott-free!
RIP.
You know the gun grabbers will use this as an excuse why ALL guns should be outlawed.
Drew Peterson was heard to say “what an amateur..”
People confuse the death penalty with revenge or punishment. It is not.
The reason for the death penalty is for the protection of society.
