From Thatcherism and Reaganism to . . . ( "Obama and his team of propeller heads" )

In a [1] story in the Sunday Times of London, former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, a leading spokesman for liberal economics, says this about the Obama budget:

It is the boldest budget we have seen since the Reagan administration, and drives a nail in the coffin of Reaganomics. We can basically say goodbye to the philosophy espoused by Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.

There is no question that President Obama’s budget, and his economic plans more broadly, are an effort to drive a nail through the philosophy espoused by Reagan and Thatcher. And so it’s worth asking: What exactly is the philosophy Obama intends to bury?

On one level, it is obvious and something many people can recite almost in their sleep: limited government, lower taxes, less regulation, and sound money. But what is less well understood, and in many respects more important, is the philosophical underpinnings of Reaganism and Thatcherism.

“Team of Propeller Heads” seems to really sum up the man and his administration.

This guy is going to be the most hated President in our history.

“This guy is going to be the most hated President in our history.”

Not really...when you have HALF the population dependent on the government for their livelihood; the “nanny state” is alive & well...

who says “Communism is dead.”

BUT with double digit inflation, double digit interest rates & double digit unemployment by 2012, Hussein will be another Jimmy Carter...”one & done”... I only hope we still have a country left to vote him out of office by then.

He is well on his way to crashing what’s left of the economy and becoming the worst and most despised president in U.S. history.

The Democrats want to make it look like capitalism has failed, so they will have a good pretext for ushering in full-bodied socialist collectivism. And so far, they’re doing a great job killing the economy! They’re doing such a good job, there’s no need or reason to “hope” that they fail to save the economy: Their failure is guaranteed by their own actions, which have either been excruciatingly stupid, or else diabolically clever!

Did anyone hear Schumer tonight arrogantly offering 'oh, yes we can' in response to Dick Cheney's comment that 'we could not' not, procede with 'missile sheildss' in Europe. . .of course; he meant, 'without putting Europe and oursselves' in great jeopardy. Apparently Schumer; thinks 'yes we can'. . .do just that; a superior position.

OMG. . .the never ending scary ignorance of these fools. Hope all the Libs appreciate as well; Obama's 'stalinist' outreach here.

“Did anyone hear Schumer?”

any time I see Schumer open his mouth, I hit the mute button on the remote. LOL

I am focused on 11/2010...and waiting to see if the Gelding Old Party gets a testicle & spine implant in the mean time..... as Charles Krauthammer said today the Obama administration's handling of the Iran/Russia/Eastern Europe nuke issue was "amateurish"

Yes heard Charles' comment; and of course, so true. Wanted the whole panel to jump on this one! Was trying to imagine the spin going down on CNN and MSM et al.

Perhaps they did not even report this and instead, just did another story on Michelle's wonderful shoulders and incredible arms. . .
