When used (very good) SKS carbines were going for 60ish dollars, and ammo was in the neigborhood of $50 a case, the very core of the second amendment was available to everyone, for less than the price of a ball game and a few beers with the family. There have to be gazillions of them out there now.

Those Norinco SKS weren't really "used". The Russki SKS that sold about the same time for $80 were used, and still of much better quality. I do miss the $50/1k rounds, though, even if it was ChiCom crap.
