True, the thing with Appleseed is that it’s cheaper, plus the history is a great addition to the marksmanship training. It;s a good program to introduce kids to history and firearms.

Perfect timing! This will really anger the gun grabbers. Hopefully it will inspire participants to be ready for the next revolution, which will be coming to a neighborhood near you in the not so distant future!!

How do you think it’s cheaper than a NRA highpower match? I think I spent 75 dollars for the Appleseed and never spent more than 15 for a NRA match.
About fifteen years ago, I was a member of this little blackpowder gunclub. We shot a CMP match for five dollars. They lent us the Garands, gave us the ammo, clips and we were able to get the occasional ammo can. Again, for just five dollars. Because of that, I was able to buy my first Garand for 165 dollars. Then the dems cut the funding for the CMP.

In my area, the NRA Basic Rifle course costs and average of about $85 per person. At Appleseed, women and anyone under the age of 20 are free.

Depends on how you want to measure that. We have the tools, quite a few of us have the skills, but we lack the WILL to use them.Exactly. Barring any reluctance on the part of individuals to not be the proverbial test case to get the ball into motion, there are very few who would join a real in progeress civil war due to the family traumas and inevitable personal hardships incurred from actually taking a stand against tyranny. You want an idea of this, just take a look at the eventual fates of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence. Sorry, I don't have that link but it is out there.

Must be someone on this thread that can help me. My husband was recently given a gun from a family member. We are not obviously real familiar with guns so can someone tell me if this is a worthy weapon. It is a Colt Automatic Pistol, Pocket Model, Caliber .32. It has never been fired and it was manufactured in 1942.

Depending on condition and provenance that pistol could be worth anywhere from 500 to a couple of thousand dollars.
Have it appraised.
