Rush gives me hope.
Is there ANYONE on the political landscape who could have made that speech? Anyone who would speak like that- except Rush?
He is the only man standing on a barren landscape of leadership. Why look for ‘the next Ronald Reagan’ when we hear him every day? Rush Limbaugh.
His ‘first’ address to the nation!
May there be many more. He has no equal in intellect or courage and his ‘faults’ are much less than many ‘leaders’ we have elected.

Rush- I pray that you will step up and lead this country. The political landscape will change, you are in the perfect position. This country will hunger for what you are and what you believe.
Please do not forsake us.

Will not happen. Rush is way too comfortable taking potshots. It’s the only game he knows.

Things change. Times change people and bring forth many who would have not risen otherwise. Nothing happens before its time, and Rush has been on the scene, unchallenged, for all this time for a reason. I believe that.

I believe Rush will rise to the challenge.
What a tragedy it will be if cannot, or will not.
Heroes are produced by terrible times. There will be a moment when he can either step up and walk the walk, or see all that he believes lost.
I see no other hope. 2 terms for Hussein will ruin this country irreperably. We need a man who will live up to Rushs’ speech- hopefully Rush himself.

Can you see ANYONE on the horizon who can compare, can anyone?

Personally, I see no leadership qualities in him at all. He is a bloviator, casting ridicule with no consequence, no risk. Anyone can criticize from on high.

He doesn’t even walk the talk. He’s a three time divorcee and drug abuser (posing as savior of family values and drug warrior).

He’s a clown, really. Not what we need at all

We seriously disagree.

Bloviation is a requirement for politicians. Bombastic gets you elected-look at the current Whitehouse resident.

As for walking the talk: Wanna talk Kennedys? Jack-
pig, screwing whoever in the Whitehouse while playing the 1st Catholic president and perfect father. Also on some serious drugs supposedly for pain, but could he have stood up to today’s scrutiny re. painkillers? I think not. Hypocrite.
Ted: Super pig. Elected time and again. Womanizer, murderer, drunkard and that’s just what we heard about. Yet there he is, a ‘respected’ Senator.
Numerous other national politicians- Scandals galore- known and unknown.
If sainthood was a requirement for political office, we would have no politicians.

Rush either is very qualified by the current standards, or a
minor-league player by them. Not a leader? Was Carter? Was Ford?
Do you see any Republican leaders on the horizon? As much as I like Bobby Jindal, and respect him as a very intelligent man, I don’t think he has the total package.
I think this country needs Rush( or a ‘real’ politician who can walk his talk)- and I want him as President.

I agree, someone who walks the talk would be a very refreshing alternative

I believe President Obama was also a drug user and there are a number of claims that he has had some homosexual relationships.

Ronald Reagan was married twice so I assume that made him an unfit President.

I won't even go into the Kennedy clan's sexual lives in and out of marriage.

You can see the entire video in one flash page, and you can now purchase the DVD of the entire Rush CPAC speech at:

http://www.c-spanarchives.org/library/index.php?main_page=product_video_info&products_id=284357-3&showVid=true

I just purchased it, since I rank this speech right up there with Reagan’s conservative speeches/writings.
