(IsraelNN.com) Georgia has complained to Western nations about a buildup of Russian forces in two breakaway regions that were taken over in a brief war between the two nations last year, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Moscow recognized the two regions as independent states after the five-day war ended. According to the Reuters news agency, Defense Minister David Sikharulidze said Monday that Russia may be planning a new assault on his country, adding that the situation "remains fragile" due to the lack of international monitors.
There are no western nations to complain to. Sorry.
To misquote —
“First, they came for Georgia, and we did nothing because we were not Georgia......”
Our pinko president has already thrown eastern Europe under the bus, via the defense missile buildup, so the russkies have a free hand to take what they want. For we are now a “paper tiger”...thanks to the RATS!
zer0: “Georgia’s uh, uh, continued, uh, independence is, uh, above my pay grade.”
Wonder what obama is going to do with the troops when they come home???
Actually if I were the troops I would wonder if he was bringing me home at all.
“Wonder what obama is going to do with the troops when they come home???”
He’ll take their weapons away, hand them roses and candy and send them to Darfur.
