A "career" doesn't mean working for a 1,000 watt daytime-only, AM radio station that you can't even pick up 20 miles away. It's just ten years spent, unable to advance to a better job, a job big enough to actually call it a "career".

It's sad but daytime-only stations are doomed from the start. They have to turn over their entire audience to competing stations every day at sunset. The competition always "gets the last word".

What were his ratings? Was he bringing in advertisers? Was he costing more than what revenue he generated? Did he piss off his boss?

Hmmm...lets see, a white conservative talk show host on a minority owned radio station that caters to minority interests is critical of the messiah president. The station is supported by advertising aimed primarily at those minorities. He gets fired after ten years of success when those advertisers withdraw their support of the show. duh... Well, ten years is a long time to be tap dancing in a mine field like that.

I’ve never heard of the guy, and frankly, now is the greatest time ever to be a conservative talk radio host.

Seems like you have more of a problem with small market radio stations than you do with the fact he got canned for calling out Dumbo. Mike’s “career” is his own choosing – maybe he likes his life in a small town market? Not everyone aspires to have the big city “career” that you value so highly.

The ratings will tell the story, one way or the other.

I’ve known a few people in radio. If he was making money for them, he would still be employed. Nothing else matters to them...
