Since the presidency changed hands less than six weeks ago, a burst of entertaining has taken hold of the iconic, white-columned home of America's head of state. Much of it comes on Wednesdays.
The stately East Room, where portraits of George and Martha Washington adorn the walls, was transformed into a concert hall as President Barack Obama presented Stevie Wonder with the nation's highest award for pop music on Wednesday.
A week before that, the foot-stomping sounds of Sweet Honey in the Rock, a female a cappella group, filled the East Room for a Black History Month program first lady Michelle Obama held for nearly 200 sixth- and seventh-graders from around the city.
Cocktails were sipped during at least three such receptions to date, all held on Wednesdays

no he should be partying, heck if he went back to smoking crack, the market wouldn’t drop 3% everytime he opens his mouth.

Somebody with the time and the background should start a running ticker on how much DumbO spends on fun/vacations.
Air Force One (and two since they have to fly together), the C-17 to carry his limo, Marine One, Chicago for Valentine’s Day weekend, Camp David, Secret Service security at the basketball game, Wednesday entertainments, etc etc.
Remember when Bush got hammered for throwing parties while there were two wars going on? Oh right, didn’t happen because Bush thought it would be unseemly to party while US Soldiers were in harms way. Seems to me there are still two wars going on and a Depression to boot.

I wonder why Barak and Michelle don’t go down to their 1st National Bank, sign a loan for $240,000 and go have a party, and expect their little girls children to pay for the fun they are having...doesn’t this make sense?
This annoys me to no end, the economy is tanking, dow is below 7000 and this idiot is partying like there’s no tomorrow. What happened to SACRIFICE???? Apparently it doesn’t apply to this crew. Double standard....

Yep, and how about Michelle standing there knowing she threw out of the hospital for treatment the very people she pretends to defend. How does it feel Michelle to know you caused a lot of unecessary pain and suffering; even the deaths of some patients because of your actions?
This happened back in France too, but the people eventually got tired of it and brought out the guillotine. Then they had a party of their own.

Typical affirmative action person. Gets the job, but doesn’t know what to do, so he assumes everyone else is doing nothing too. Affirmative action people never work overtime, and always seem to be traipsing off to some diversity meeting or seminar or mentor, where they can piss’n moan, and get paid for it. They never put in 40 hours, and OT is for “the losers” who’ll never get ahead.
