DEVELOPING: The Coast Guard has found an overturned boat with one person clinging to it in the search for missing NFL players.

Search crews found the boat about 30 miles off the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Corey Smith, a free-agent defensive end who played for the Detroit Lions last season, and Marquis Cooper, an Oakland Raiders linebacker, are two of the four people aboard the boat that didn't return from a fishing trip Saturday. Will Bleakley and Nick Schuyler, both former University of South Florida players, were also aboard.

The identity of the man hanging on to the boat could not immediately be confirmed, but Marquis Cooper's cousin Ray Sanchez told FOX News it was Nick Schuyler.

Somali Pirates just a “bit” out of their usual hunting grounds? Seriously - while I am no rabid professional sports fan, I don’t like hearing of people out enjoying themselves (hopefully actually on a fishing trip as advertised), ending up lost or dead.

I think I heard there were very big swells, other boats turned back, but I cannot be sure, I think that is the case though, the survivor said the other three had life vests on, they could easily be alive but adrift, a frightening scenario for them if they are, prayers up.

A large commercial fishing boat went back to shore around Noon that day because the weather turned so bad they were being bombarded with waves over their bow.

I hate to mention this, but as a fisherman when I hear “Gulf of Mexico” and “life jackets” the first thing I think of is Sharks! I hope that is not the case, though.

Report indicates all four of the men were together as recently as 2AM this morning. Nick Schuyler was flown to Tampa General Hospital.

UPDATE: A family member tells us that the Coast Guard has found a boat with one person clinging to the side.

We have just learned that the person clinging to the boat is Nick Schuyler.

Schuyler’s dad tells us that the other three were wearing their life vests.

Right now the Coast Guard Helicopter is five miles out and headed to TGH - Tampa General Hospital.

We’re also hearing that they may be bringing in a second person in to TGH.

We will have the details posted here as we learn them.

Little boat+ big waves close together = disaster. Hope they're found.

They found Nick Schuyler clinging to the boat. The other 3 men still haven’t’ been found.
