And the Republican Party went south because people who thought the same thing - “I QUIT!”

Don’t just give up!! Work harder to make it the kind of Party you want! I’ll bet you don’t even go to the convention after the primaries in order to get involved. And do you volunteer your home to host good candidates to get their start? That is about the mininmum you can do.

Just don’t complain if you won’t get involved - if not for your own sake - then for the sake of your children and grandchildren for Pete’s sake!

Not a very good analogy. If your wife/husband cheats on you and doesn't repent, then staying with them and hoping they'll change would be foolish. And asking for more pain.
