During our exclusive interview on "This Week," Republican Whip Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., rejected comments made by Rush Limbaugh at the CPAC conference.
<Snip> Limbaugh said Saturday to the conservative conference, "What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations?"
Cantor today rejected Limbaugh's rhetoric.
"So the Rush Limbaugh approach of hoping the president fails is not the Eric Cantor, House Republican approach?" I asked.
"Absolutely not," Cantor said. "And I don't -- I don't think anyone wants anything to fail right now. We have such challenges. What we need to do is we need to put forth solutions to the problems that real families are facing today."

Was the implication that Paul was a Nazi? Going on the Alex Jones Show and having an ad on Stormfront makes one a Nazi? You said that, I didn’t; nor did I imply it. I think all I suggested was if Hunter ran again he could get an ad on the site and go on the Alex Jones Show. That way he could gather some Trekkie Convention rejects and spam all the polls and half the sites on the internet.
I do not think Paul is a Nazi. I rather think he is some obscure politician who got caught up in all the attention given him by troofers, anti-war propagandists, spammers and other assorted wacko’s.
Great Tagline!!
Thanks again for the clarification. Perhaps I should refrain from commenting until after a sufficient intake of fresh, hot coffee.
;-))
We need conservative political leaders who are courageous, ones not afraid to protect Americans, like our founding fathers did for us. I've had enough of the wimps who give in to the other side.
If he doesnt take advantage to get the word out on a large public TV show then he has failed the conservative cause just as the other republicans have. The era of Ronald Reagan is not dead. Cantors interview comments is nowhere near what I heard from Rush Limbaugh on Saturday. Am I angry about obama's attack on us? You're damn right I am.
bump for later.........
“We need conservative political leaders who are courageous, ones not afraid to protect Americans, like our founding fathers did for us. I’ve had enough of the wimps who give in to the other side.”
Precisely. Unfortunately, I have Cantor and Steele (of all people) in the coward category.
Politicians complain about the liberal biased media and then cower to them. I want to see Republicans taking on the media and interrupting them when they are biased.
More importantly, I want to see Rush and conservate principles defended and explained.
The new party leader will take control by himself and stand up against those whose mission it is to destroy our economic system.
Who has the guts to do this? All it takes is for a leader to step forward. We saw the overwhelming response to Rush on Saturday. Are there no men capable of leading the angry masses? We may have elected the wrong people to represent us. Get involved locally to get the right people in the primaries.
Same thing's prolly already been said 100x on the thread, but I just found it and it bears repeating.
How can the few actual men left in DC not suffer daily nausea surrounded by neutered sissies ?
