I think it MUST go personal. Obama is the leader of this plan to socialize America, redistribute wealth, etc. His “crisis, catastrophe, depression” rhetoric is helping the stock market to tank. His tax increases on achievers, small business, and energy are HIS proposals.

But it’s all in how you turn a phrase. I don’t want Obama to fail, but his plans will cause America’s failure...so, no, I don’t want Obama’s plans for socialism to succeed.

Eric Cantor is not a bad guy. He’s a conservative. He didn’t do a horrible job this morning. He just needs to work on how he answers that question about “Obama” and “fail”.

We’re running out of time. It’s durn near “hair on fire” time, IMO.

I agree that Cantor’s a decent guy. If he really wanted Obama to succeed, he wouldn’t have managed to get all 178 House GOP members to vote no on porkulus, not once but twice. But these guys have to be ready for the Rush question and turn the tables on hacks like Stephanopoulus.
