I am with you on this one, Rush called us all into action and defended conservative stance. We don’t need to go out and get the walmart shoppers, we ARE the walmart shoppers. We put money into the economy by buying food, gas , clothes, going out to eat, going to the movies, and going to work as we pay taxes. We are the stimulus, GIVE US the money at least we are frugal.
Do you think that the GOP will start supporting conservatives now that supporting RINO’s and liberals has failed?
I don’t see much of a positive change yet.
So is it possible the Cantor is distinguishing himself separate from Conservatives?
I watched the video and he said exactly the opposite of what you are claiming he said above. Keep it up and Pelosi/Reid/Obama will have every congressional seat. Attacking Obama as a personality is a disaster when he is so popular. Rush can do it, he is not elected, and even Rush clarifies his words on this point.
Did you want GWBush to fail ? Did you demand elected republicans get on TV and say "I want Bush to fail" when he pitched amnesty and stimuluss and TARP?? You remember Rush saying "I want Bush to fail"?
I honestly don't know...supporting conservatives doesn't seem to be part of the GOP/RNC agenda, does it?
The Obama administration is Stalinist — opposed to Obama’s policies? You’re a wrecker!

[snip] President Obama’s chief of staff said conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is the de facto leader of the Republican Party [end]
Big effing deal. You're playing a sematics game.
I want Obama to be a conservative. If Obama is a conservative, he will suceed. Of course no one in the GOP wants Obama to be a liberal and fail. That's all they are saying.
ThehopefoAmerica.com plays the same lame-ass sematics game the Democrats and liberals do and you sheep follow along with it.
I’m not concerned with his clumsy language. I’m concerned that republicans seem to think throwing Limbaugh under the buss is A GOOD STRATEGY. Idiotic in my, amateur political view.
ABC - Obama state media outlet’s point is to do damage to both Rush and Cantor !
More sematics games from posters who don't get it.
Cantor was fine. The only thing this video did was show—once again—what a dreadful partisan hack stephanoplace is.
Did you hear Steele’s comment that Rush’s rhetoric is incendiary and ugly? The word has obviously gone out to throw Limbaugh under the bus and that is an idiotic strategy.
When did you stop beating your wife, Congressman Cantor?
I do wish that the Republicans would memorize a few lines from Rush’s speech and be prepared to use them as appropriate:
“President Obama is one of the most gifted politicians, one of the most gifted men that I have ever witnessed. He has extraordinary talents. He has communication skills that hardly anyone can surpass. No, seriously. No, no, I’m being very serious about this. It just breaks my heart that he does not use these extraordinary talents and gifts to motivate and inspire the American people to be the best they can be. He’s doing just the opposite. And it’s a shame. [Applause] President Obama has the ability — he has the ability to inspire excellence in people’s pursuits.”
I somewhat agree with your premise, but Republicans need to be prepared for this question. Obama/Rahm are trying to seperate conservatives from the Republican party.
Rush is trying to “pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Rush has picked the right target. The Republicans are afraid to pick that same target because of the approval ratings.
Rush has set them up with MANY opportunities to answer this question over and over and they keep missing the mark.
Example: Do you agree with Rush when he says he wants Obama to fail?
Answer: Well, George, Rush said he wants Obama’s plan to fail because he wants Americans to succeed. I want Obama to succeed, but his current budget, bailout, etc. will only result in higher taxes, a deeper recession, increased defecits, yada, yada, yada. I want Obama to succeed. That’s why he should follow our plan of reducing taxex, blah blah blah. If we follow his current plans we will succeed at socialism which will be a failure for America.
Republicans need to turn the tables. They know the question is coming. Be better prepared.
Add to that posters like careyb who unknowingly buy into it.
Good one! I'm sure Cantor's campaign slogan will be: "I don't want my opponent to fail. Vote for him."
How hard is it to say, “Yes, we want President Obama and the Democrats’ attempt to turn America into a Euro-socialist welfare state to fail”? The Republicans’ lack of command of basic English is the most disturbing aspect of today’s political debate. The stupidity and incompetence of the Republican party is downright scary.
