I do not trust posters that lie about the real source of a clip and the actual clip title is a FALSE.There is no
Rush repudiation in this clip !
The clip comes from some website called “ hope for change “ not “ this week “.

Certainly, there are some things the elected ones (or those hoping to be elected) cannot say in this youtube gotcha environment. I think we can cut some of these guys (and girls) some slack when they diplomatically attempt to distance themselves from some of Rush's more incendiary remarks (which they may agree with whole-heartedly in private).

The trick is distancing themselves in a way which does not allow the MSM to paint their words as a repudiation of Rush which they then use to divide us. We should not fall into the trap of the divide and conquer MSM. The focus should be on saving the country, not Rush or Cantor.

Attack the plans, not the man.
Agreed. At this point in time, we won't gain any traction by attacking Obama. He's too popular and most people just aren't capable of thinking rationally. Don't forget that the IQ bell curve has an upper half and a lower half. Even with that, some people with high IQs are just plain dumb when it comes to understanding the real world.

Attack the plans, point out the flaws, point how these actions have always failed in the past, and people might understand. When the economy continues to tank, and we will be able to say "I told you so." When Obama becomes unpopular -- and he will within the next two years -- then it's okay to attack him directly.

Do we run against Obama next year, or do we run against Congressional Liberals? --------------- We run against the Dummies, Reid and Pelosi. Congress Legislates, BHO just signs it, or vetoes it.

A bit of a tempest in a teapot. So Cantor gave a clumsy answer. Someone with Reagan's skills would have said something like,
"It is not about our party or theirs. It is not about wishing policies to succeed or fail. Good policies will succeed and bad policies will fail, no matter what anyone wishes. The real question is, are we helping the American people to succeed? Will passing on our massive debt to our children and grandchildren help them be successful? The policies of the current administration, while they may temporarily profit some of us now, will ultimately fail our children and grandchildren."
We may not have anyone with Reagan's ability to turn questions into teaching opportunities. Part of Reagan 's success was because he was there to do something rather than be something (be president, be popular with the Washington insiders). Likewise, Obama is there to do something (in his case, advance the cause of socialism). This is more dangerous than Bill Clinton, who was there to be popular and to be president because being president was cool.

We need someone who can communicate well but I am not sure what good it does to parse everyone's words and condemn anyone who cannot speak as well as Reagan could. It will be a miracle to find one Reagan or Thatcher. To expect every politician to be another Reagan is folly. That does not mean we passively accept it whenever anyone gives a poor answer or accept compromisers like McCain as the norm. But if we attack Republicans every time one gives a clumsy answer, we will have little time to do anything else.

Why cant we do stuff like this to democrats? post title like “Obama and Pelosi disagree on package” or at least Pelosi and Reid disagree?

Of course elected republicans have to tread lightly on attacking Obama personally

The site is Hope for America. Careyb used the title that is on the website WHICH IS THE RULE ON FREE REPUBLIC!

Here's the ABOUT statement from that site:

About Me

Deeply embedded in the heart of the U.S.S. of A., I am the hope for America.

Well, not me personally. I actually believe that God is the only hope for this country. However, I do put forth ideas and philosophies that, if accepted nationwide, will return our great republic to a land of freedom and prosperity.

I am a formerly proud Republican. Emphasis on "formerly" as it modifies "proud". I am still a registered Republican, though I am becoming increasingly discontent with my party. This is due in no small part to the fact that so many legislators who are Republican fell for the biggest con job in the history of humanity. More on that in some upcoming videos.

Political parties aside, I am an American. I love this country. And I would like to see this country continue to set the standard for liberty throughout the entire world. Unforunately, I don't see us headed in that direction. Instead, I see us adopting socialist ideology from European states as a solution to complex social and financial problems. I see an expansion of the welfare state, much higher taxes, and an unnecessary debt for our children to bear. And that's just 2009.

And that is why I am here. To make clear to my fellow Americans that we are currently headed in the wrong direction, and what we need to do to get us back on track.

Also please note that this is a VLog, not a BLog. In other words, almost all information (with the exception of what you are looking at right now) is disseminated by video feed, as opposed to the written word. This is, after all, the 21st Century.

I hope you enjoy the videos and please feel free to contact me with any feedback.

Sincerely Yours,
The Hope For America

Now, rant about something that is truly worth ranting about...and it's not this post or poster.

This is exactly right. We need to quit falling for this obvious strategy of the Left (these headlines are grossly misleading). They are trying to isolate Rush and get Repubs to renounce his statement regarding wanting 0 to fail. Cantor and Steele failed miserably in how to rephrase the question and still affirm conservatism and how Rush is one of the best spokesman of these principles.

Again the poster HIDE the TRUE source of the video plus the video’s real title which is much much longer.
The video clip does not even support the title .
What is the point of hiding the true media source plus the real title unless your playing some sort of misinformation game here ?

At the end he is asked if he wants Obama to fail and he said “No, of course not” This congressman is a solid conservative

Solid Conservative equals Obama being successful with all his taxing & programs to fast track us to socialism via the Alinsky model?

This guy is wrong and Rush is right along with REAL Solid Conservatives.

If the GOP doesn't speak out against Obama Reid Pelosi Frank Clinton Clinton Ayers Alinsky Dodd etc etc they will not succeed.

Either Obama fails or the GOP fails.

I watched it. He didn’t really “repudiate” Limbaugh, he merely said he didn’t want Obama to fail, but argued against his policies. Let’s get real, folks, an elected politician isn’t going to say he wants Obama to fail publicly, even if he believes. That’s just politics. It’s the reality of politics.

If misinformed means you clicked on the link and went to the website that had a video of Cantor with a title underneath it that read "Cantor repudiates Limbaugh", then yes...I guess you were misinformed by a thread title that read..."Video: Cantor repudiates Limbaugh".

Just so you can't stop being mislead, the thread title appears to have been fixed.

That’s OK with me and I suspect it’s quite OK with Rush as well....”

Rush called them out. They have to come out of the closet. Now we can identify them and neutralize them.

Only a true Country First, Constitution First candidates need apply.

No more RINOs.

Cantor didn’t really criticize Limbaugh, he just sort ducked the issue.

This headline from ABC is total distortion of what Cantor said.
