I tried to vote based on linking from the Free Republic article above. My vote wouldn’t count and nothing would happen as I kept hitting the “vote” button.

So then I opened a new browser window and came to CNN from Googlenews. It registered my vote.

So the CNN guys have pro-actively stopped the ability to Freep their polls.

use The "tor network". You can hit the vote button as many times as you want if you are into that sort of thing.

Or, you can use a plugin on firefox called "refcontrol" and set the referer addy to something like Http//www."Obama sucks.com

I wonder if you entered from DU or another lefty site if you would get the same result. My guess is no. I don’t have the fortitude to go there though and register and then vote. I would feel defiled.

I wouldn’t say that. There IS no way for them to know you came from a FreeRepublic web page. More likely is your browser screwed up, etc. Notice the problem went away after you closed and reopened the browser ?
