I read Rush's speech. It was very optimistic.

Rush frequently points out that conservatives are happy people. In the Orwellian world of Marxist liberalism that means “harsh”m “angry”, “mocking”...etc.

Too bad you missed it on TV.

It was very good.

I read Rush's speech. It was very optimistic.

I write a marketing newsletter that has around 8,000 subscribers. Since January, I've added a section called, "News That Won't Depress You." I've found optimistic assessments about the economy turning, about companies doing well despite the economy, about companies hiring, about progress in Iraq, and about how the air and water are cleaner.

Recently, I had a guy unsubscribe. He said I'm sounding too much like Rush Limbaugh and that he thought I was smarter than that.

I resisted the temptation to thank him. I felt honored to be compared to Rush in the slightest way.

I think liberals prefer being miserable. Self-loathing seems common among the left.
