I loved Mitt’s speech.

Odd, because his speech at the RNC was perhaps the worst one of the entire convention.

That type of 'compromise' got us McCain, instead of a real conservative.

Polls now, don't mean squat for 2012. The candidate conservatives want is out there somewhere, most likely he/she will appear in 2010 to LEAD another Congressional Revolution. ANYONE considered now would be part of that OLD used up network that has had a stranglehold on the GOP for years.

It's time for a change, it's time for another conservative rebellion in the GOP.

Something about his parents not being citizens before he was born.

True, his father is now, but His mother isn't and I think the last I read she worked and lived in Saudi.

Can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. But the prop talking points for Slick ain’t gonna stand unchallenged.

Creepy ? Yes. But most Slick Willardbots are. Old ladies and metrosexuals with romantic fantasies about their goodhaired middle-aged cad, er, lad.

Mitt and Meg.

Has a syrupy, sugary, cutesy ring to it. Tooth aching ring.

"It’s no surprise Juan McCain’s head cheerleader would gravitate to another RINO. What’s your problem, Norm ?"

Actually it's a surprise to me. I hated the man when he was zinging my guy in the debates. Mainly because he zinged so well. I've used the "phony" excuses before - as empty excuses. McCain ran out the clock and won on default but after seeing his stuff Romney can take the title anyday as far as I'm concerned.

He seems to be, from what I can tell. I’m impressed w/ the way he uses Originalist thinking when interpreting the Constitution, which is very rare these days.

I hear you. Stepping into politics is definitely stepping into the cesspool, and the fact that I find myself liking Newt better than the others shows you just what a cesspool it is.

He vetoed overspending, governed as a pro-lifer, and kept an already declining state in the black.

"Mitt is a businessman not a career politician." - post #67

Con artists are businessmen, so the first part is technically honest. But he IS a career politician.

"He has a lifetime however of turning around failing ventures whether smaller million-dollar businesses or a multi-billion-dollar franchise like the Winter Olympics." - post #126

Lifetime of turning around failed ventures ? Baloney. What was that he did in Massachusetts ? And the "Myth" of the Olympics repeated ad nauseum.

"Romney has the credibility and the private sector experience to counter that and win." - post #130

He has zero credibility. He used that "claim" to win the Governorship and proved himself utterly incompetent. Epic fail.

There you go.

Nice try. Mitt’s wife can support who and what she wants. I don’t support Mitt’s wife for president. That said she seems like a very gracious lady. Nice try though. Rookie ball...

None of those are ironclad demonstrable lies. You offered nothing but smoke-and-mirrors misinterpretations, distortions, and bait-and-switch.

Both parents were here on student visas. He has citizenship due to a lower court decision but it does not meet the requirements of natural born.

I think Dr. Demento is nuts, but there’s one thing that separates his craziness from Slick Willard. He actually has a platform that he TRULY believes in and espouses that matches his record. He doesn’t lie to people’s faces misrepresenting himself and his record.

"There are no serious and credible judges who adopt a strict constructionist view of the USC. Conservatives have a strange habit of tripping over this."

Ok then, I have a strange habit. So be it.
