What another liberal and conservative? Romney is not a conservative.

ROTFLOL!

The only way I see that deal working is if mitt-man takes the VeeP slot. Mitt may be more conservative than Obama, Biden, Hitlery, McCain, and Huckabee...but that is not saying enough for the AmericanArchConservative!

I like Jindal a lot and he has (as yet) no baggage whatsoever, but it would be great for him to clock in another solidly conservative few years as La. Guv before ascending to the national stage.

Actually I would prefer to see him complete two full and wildly successful terms as Governor to serve as a fantastic springboard, but unless some miracle happens in the GOP before 2012, this country may need him in the #1 or #2 slot in order to stave off the complete disaster of another four years of this socialist obamanation.

Our nation is resilient enough, we might survive four years of this crapola. Eight years, I highly doubt.

Ideal scenario: Palin steps to the forefront in ‘12 and wins the GOP nomination outright. She then chooses another bona fide Conservative as VeeP, like Fred Thompson, Mark Racicot, Jim DeMint...Meanwhile, Jindal serves out his second term as Gov. and when finished, Palin selects him to fill a prominent cabinet post (Homeland Sec?). The Gov. serves two years in the cabinet, vaulting him further into national prominence.

Having opened up the OCOS and oil shale deposits to exploration and drilling, vast tracts of land to clean coal removal and processing, encouraged natural gas exploration, extraction, and useage, as well as opening up the US energy market with a new, middle-bid process and lowered capital gains and corporate tax rates, thus instigating the building of new nuclear plants and new oil refineries - Palin handily wins re-election in ‘16.

She keeps the same veep, and keeps Jindal in her cabinet - maybe elevating him to SecState (where his ethnicity gives him a touchstone to build strong ties with India, and to encourage their democracy. As well, he stands strong with Israel, and gets tougher with the Saudis - who, having lost almost half their oil market, are suddenly amenable to negotiations...)

In ‘20, Jindal would be 49 - almost 50. After 2 great terms as Guv and 6 years in the W.H. cabinet, he could assume the lead on the (once more solidly Conservative) GOP ticket, and chooses from among an array of rising young Conservative GOP stars - Governors, Senators, and Congresspeople among them...winning in a Reagan-like landslide of 48 states.

A second term is a given; by the time Jindal leaves office in 2028 at age 58...

...our beloved republic may just survive to see her 300th birthday, less than 50 years away.
