Ok, admittedly Steele stepped in it big time. He let that interviewer rope him into throwing Rush under the bus. FWIW, he is in a tough spot. Liberal blacks are calling him an "Uncle Tom", and conservatives are calling him a RINO.
I'm not ready yet to turn my back on the man because of one live TV interview (on CNN of ALL places), but, yes, closer scrutiny is in order.
Steele is no novice to politics. He’s going to have to do a complete about-face to prove to me he’s got any Conservative blood in him. So far, his actions have shown him to be a RINO. He’s got a long way to go to prove himself otherwise.
