Coulter has a lot of nerve attacking Mike Huckabee while posing for pictures with this RINO. Ann, you’re just not conservative enough for me!

Sorry don't have time to stay tuned. It sounds like you're talking about straw poll results. The last CPAC straw poll (2008) was populated by three RINOs and a lunatic -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Paul. If they can't even find a conservative to promote, I have no reason to pay any attention to their CPAC straw polls at all.

Take a look at this blast from the 2008 past:
http://polipundit.com/index.php?p=19515

By Sharon Soon

The results of the CPAC straw poll has just been announced, and Mitt Romney has decidedly been proven the conservatives choice. Even after he announced the suspension of his campaign, Romney managed to just edge out John McCain with 35% of the vote vs. McCain’s 34%.

Interestingly, the result before and after Romney’s announcement were significantly different, with Romney taking a huge lead over McCain, with Huckabee and Ron Paul trailing far behind.

Overall Results:

Romney: 35%
McCain: 34%
Paul: 12%
Huckabee: 12%
Other: 1%
Undecided: 5%

Pre-Romney Announcement:

Romney: 44%
McCain: 27%
Huckabee: 12%
Paul: 10%
Other: NA
Undecided: 4%

Post-Romney Announcement:

Romney: 32%
McCain: 37%
Huckabee: 12%
Paul: 2%
Other: NA
Undecided: 6%

Another notable finding was that Huckabee’s votes did not seem to be affected by the announcement. Instead, most votes gained by McCain seemed to have been lost by Romney. I’m thankful to see that Huckabee, despite his reception by the CPAC audience, has not polled when with them when it comes to actual support as a candidate. There may be hope for the movement yet.

I find it interesting that one RINOs vote just becomes another. If you like McCain, you'll really like Romney or visa versa. If you were fooled by McCain, you'll really be fooled by Romney or visa versa.

They fool you once, shame on them. Let's see if this next 2009 CPAC straw poll is able to fool you and some others twice.

He is a strong family man of very high moral character who is not shy about his faith and how it strengthens his convictions. He believes in capitalism and is pro-business and low taxes.

Then, why did he raise taxes and fees $700 million dollars in four years as governor in attempt to fund universal health care? If he has such moral character, why did he lie about his father marching with Martin Luther King Jr. and try to cover up the lie when he got caught telling it? And, I guess his faith includes support for gay marriage because he didn't lift a finger to stop that on his watch.

“Why would he bring her up in his speech, period, but none of his other GOP rivals”

She is not a rival. She is the reason Romney won the Alaska primary last year by a landslide. You see malice where there is none.

What real men, Republicans are you talking about? You mean the Pillsbury dough boys who currently occupy the United States Congress? Have you listened to any of our leaders lately? We aren’t even talking about John Wayne. If I can’t have “John Wayne” then I will settle for “Father Knows Best”. It’s a heck of a lot better then the hen-pecked boys who’ve currently been occupying Washington since the Clinton days. I think you are being really hard nosed, you can say a lot about Romney, but one thing you can’t say is he ain’t no Pillsbury’s Boy and he ain’t no one’s bitch either. The guy has got some, if you know what I mean. He rubs some the wrong way for a reason, because like I said, he’s no ones bitch. He IS a man. Don’tcha get it?

Notice how it is Willard’s supporters that have to bring up the fact he is Mormon to try and deflect attention away from his liberal record as governor of Massachusetts. Pathetic.

Only SW supporters sink so low as to pathetically bring up the Romney's religion, Sparks?

Romney is unelectable. He has a Mormon problem that isn’t going away and most realize he is a liar and flip-flopper.

Fools like you gave us a despicable candidate like McCain, and in turn, H. I hope you're proud of yourself.

Romney was the best (of those that had any real shot of winning the primary) of a sorry bunch that ran for President.

Romney is just another blow-dried northeastern liberal pretending to be a conservative for votes.

Any conservative who follows him is a fool.

Ever since they got rid of the more mainstream conservatives, just because they happened to say something positive about Rudy, this place has become infested with rabid folks... Sad, cause it could still be a fantastic site.

Palin is done at the national level... Forever... She is amazing, I admire her accomplishments, and her guts to go on the national stage... but, IMHO, the SNL skits, and her performance on Couric and Gibson, will never sell nationally...

It'll be brought up time and again, and the MSM will never let go of it.

How about the never of him to personally attack Governor Palin. And he does it right away. Basically gets up on stage, says hello, it’s good to be here, and then goes right after her. And personally. First he basically states flat out she’s not a conservative leader and calls her out for not being there(Of course, it’s real easy for Mitt to be there when he bailed on MA after 1 term and doesn’t have a day job nowadays). Then he basically says she’s a money grubbing attention seeker after an 11M dollar book deal. As if that wasnt enough, he twists the knife further by remining his audience ever so subtly that he’s loaded by saying that when asked about about his 11M book deal, he couldn’t spare the cash. I haven’t seen a politician from MA go after a woman like this since Teddy left Mary Jo in the car.

Seriously- how could you misinterpret that? He made fun of himself, saying that he would have to PAY someone $11 million to write a book about himself.

Perhaps she is done at the national level. We’ll see. It will have been four years later.

I’m not sure she will be able to unite both the social and fiscal conservatives the way that Reagan and GW Bush were.

I guess that’s why Romney got what 2% or so of the total vote?

I know what it’s like to have the guy you not get the nomination. I liked Thompson myself, but he never really got started.

A conservative cannot get elected in the Northeast, only RINOs. Romney did pass mandatory health insurance in Mass. didn’t he? What is conservative about that? Fiscal conservatism is only half the equation, social conservatism is the other half and on social issues Romney is found to be wanting IMHO.

If Romney gets the nomination in ‘12, the GOP is defunct, hate to break to you but that is the reality.
