Hi. I’m Melyssa Donaghy, the activist who organized and led the 2007 Indiana Tea Parties, many of the property tax protests, and the Indianapolis city council that led to the ousting of a mayor and a lot of talk but little legislative action for repeal of property tax, which is the only permanent relief there is.
In early February, activist attorney, Paul Ogden came to me to ask if I would help plan a “rally” at the state house and that he reserved the time and space. I’m a huge fan of Paul’s work, so I jumped at it. Paul is suing the city of Indianapolis for stealing the Pan Am Plaza, illegally selling it, and basically giving it to the Colts. That’s just the tip of the iceberg of the corruption just in our city.
It’s in nearly every city and town in Indiana and our speakers are going to speak FRANKLY about it out loud and on THE PEOPLE’S stage INSIDE the state house DURING session.
I am dedicated to this project 150% between now and March 25th.
We have free tables available for activist groups if you want an official table where you can pass out literature.
Please read our website often, as I make updates almost daily.
Please link us everywhere you go on the web and put our flash banner on your blogs.
If you can distribute postcard flyers, let me know. I coordinate all the volunteers too!
My phone number is 317-938-8913.
I think I met you at a RLC meeting in Indianapolis. It’s great Melyssa, however I have work that day, wish I could attend, but I will let others know about it ;)! God bless and take care!
