Just losing the 10% bracket adds about $375 to everyone’s tax bill (5% of $7,500). For a single person (without kids), in the low 20’s, that probably represents more than a week’s take home pay.

True, and it will be a regressive tax increase. They can't admit it as they'd admit to lying for eight years, but the truth is the Bush cuts trimmed the margins in the lower brackets more than the top brackets. So, the lower margins will be going up more than the top margins.

They sure are for the little guy, all right. Provided that little guy pays no taxes at all.
