“do you think he has any idea of the hornets nest he’s about to kick?”

The NFA, GCA68, and Clinton AWB ban raised no serious ruckus, why do dou think this will?

“It shows a clear lack of understanding of both firearms and law enforcement.”

But a clear grasp of what the media likes to report, and what will fool 80% of the people, even “lifelong hunters”.

A 20mm Lahti Anti-tank gun will take that $#!t eating grin off their faces.

Not until someone with nothing left to lose actually develops the guts to squeeze off the first round. Until then, it's all just theoretical.

>Cop killer bullets? Is he talking about hollowpoints?<
teflon.
But it won’t matter, most cops who die of firearms are shot with their own. Cops don’t carry teflon. This ban would just make it harder for officers to get the ammunition to take out a bad guy who has a vest.

>I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller,”<

Is that Heller or HITLER???

Screw them, we are not going to register anything. They can make all the stupid rules that they want to, that doesnt mean that anyone is going to play by them.

There is another election coming up before long, folks, we better be concentrating on it now, and getting the fools out of school. The purple lipped fool needs to go next election, and now is the time to lay the groundwork. You cant wait till six months before the next election to try to conduct voter education, it has to start NOW.

I first blamed Obama voters. Missed that, huh? Guess you can't read.

Considering you took offense to my initial post, I will take it you fall in the category of a third party voter or a stay at home all or nothing conservative. If so, this is your train wreck.

If this ban requires registration, there’s going to be several million new felons with the stroke of a pen. That hasn’t happened before.

Violates SCOTUS Drexel V Bailey (1922). Excessive taxation with the express purpose of prohibiting some action, violates the 10th Amendment.

NFA required registration, still does, of all NFA guns.

With the NFA, you could still register. Plus, there were plenty of Eastern Block weapons still flooding in, etc...

With the GCA, it went primarily after criminals. Removing their RKBA after conviction, etc...

With the Brady Bill, it had a sunset clause...

These days, we're done playing. We're fed up. They screw us again, especially with the economy as it is, and it'll be tossing a match on a kerosene soaked pile of dried out pine branches.

Difference being, they defunded the office that would normally let you register new NFA. A defacto ban.

That's why a $200 Sten Mk II now retails for $4850.

Does this sound familiar: King George's “Stamp Act” that led to the American Revolutionary War.

“...He uses Hollywoodspeak. ?Cop killer bullets? Gimme a break! He has watched way too many movies....”

Actually this sounds like a strategy— he’s appealing to the noneducated average joe blow who DOES watch those movies!! It’s faster way to communicate to those who are gullible IMHO.

Alarm and Muster! Join the call tree today.

We need people who will stand their ground. Colorado, Wyoming and Montana are the slowest growing states but regardless of what State you are in, join before they come for your guns.

When I turned on the TV just before dinner last night, I happened to catch part of a network (NBC, I think) news story about a “drug war” in Mexico. The story was chock full of videos showing large caches of “assault weapons,” all of which were said to have come pouring over the border from the U.S.

I turned to my family and wondered aloud when is our next local gun show because, the airing of a story such as this could only mean The One is ready to take his first of many steps to dismantle the Second Amendment.

Some FReepers live to disparage the NRA but, they hit the nail on the head when they sounded the warning last summer that, if elected, The One would likely name Eric Holder as his AG and Holder is a sworn enemy of the right to bear arms.
