“Kansas has been on the list of states that were contemplating a resolution but I can’t find anything that says they’ve even submitted it anywhere. We’ll keep an eye on ‘em and see if an article pops up indicating they’re ready to come out of the closet. “

Will not go anywhere until Gov Sillybus leaves

May not, but I'll give you my take on all this: As we type, some of the States are just now beginning to look for their "torches and pitchforks". While others have actually found their tools of protest and are preparing to light their torches and gather their pitchforks. And of course others that aren't even aware they have any torches or pitchforks.

A mixed bag at this point and I'm sure our would-be rulers, the ones certainly responsible for the Constitutional abuses that led to these rumblings, are looking on in bemused arrogance. They no doubt believe they have the financial hammer to keep the States in line. Their partners in the dinomedia are doing their part by fervently ignoring these developments so the prols don't become restless and get involved. We'll just have to see how it goes.

Conservatives, and certainly Freepers should be doing everything from burning up the phone lines to emailing and visiting our state representatives to support and encourage such efforts from the States. I believe they may be our last hope...

Weeeeelllll, I was thinking it was up to 32, but MRStep, who has been keeping a running tally and has also been diligent in keeping up to date; says 30, so...

The good news is, the list continues to grow. Things could really become interesting when the first bill gets passed. I think Montana is close with a related "gun rights" bill and Oklahoma may be the first to get a resolution through the state legislature.

We of course should be doing all we can to continue supporting, encouraging and prodding our state legislators to get aboard.

From your link.....

All of these ‘movements’ (except for Hawaii) are explicit restatements of what has always been in place, but not necessarily enforced, as detailed by the 10th Amendment. Hawaii is actually aiming for total sovereignty as it is claimed that Hawaii was never really a state of the U.S.A..

THAT's interesting. If it could be put forth that Hawaii was never a state to begin with, then there'd be no question about obama's being a citizen.

The problem is, there are so many people who were born there who have been considered citizens of the US, then they'd probably just give amnesty or grant citizenship to any who were born in Hawaii who wished it to avoid the legal complications.

It'd be a mess any way you look at it.

Thirty is GREAT!!!!

I had no idea it was that many but it sure is encouraging. It’s an indicator that more people are aware of what’s going on and are sick of it than we realized.

Maybe there is hope for this country.

Does anyone have the correlation between those states and the red/blue election maps?

I was wondering who might pick up on the connection between Hawaii statehood and "Ø".

...The sun shines bright on my ole kantuck home! If and when I come back to this podunk hillbilly town south of Lexington, KY, I’ll pledge my time, and, if I have a dollar or two, to re-elect the state and fed reps that voted for this legislation. To the mayor Old berry and the guv Burr, retire some where out of the US, and take most of DC with you. I’m tired of you in Congress treading on me...

It’s best for the GOP to keep their hands off this subject. The states do a much better job and do it without colossal goof ups.

I don’t think this should be picked up by the national GOP. If they did that, the Rats would abandon this ship just for spite when the national media started running negative “reports” on it. This isn’t a GOP or Rat issue, it is a constitutional issue. I like the fact that there are Rats on board. Let’s keep it that way.

What about the phone number skink? We have to get more FReepers calling Frankfort about this.

We have to make sure FReepers call the Frankfort Legislature hotline at 1-800-372-7181 and leave a message for their rep and/or senator.
