... exit polls showed ... that conservatives flocked to romney but were outnumbered by moderates and liberals.

Romney IS a moderate liberal. Your exit poll data makes zero sense.

"Your exit poll data makes zero sense."

Ok, just as an example here is the exit poll data for the Florida Primary:

http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/#FLREP

Check out page 4. Among the "Very Conservative" Romney beat the others by a landslide.

And as for FR, here's how things were a year ago:

Which GOP presidential hopeful do you want to see win the most delegates on Super Tuesday?

Member Opinion
Mitt Romney 75.9% 1,390
Ron Paul 11.5% 211
Mike Huckabee 7.6% 139
John McCain 5.0% 92
100.0% 1,832

Conservatives tend to support Romney. The ones who don`t probably get their news from the Boston Globe and the NYTimes. They should listen more to the likes of Hannity, Rush and Ann Coulter. They all voted for Romney.
