IMHO, EVERY conservative between now and ‘12 will be “damaged goods”. IOW, if a conservative shows a desire to run in ‘12, the media will immediately begin to tear them down, investigate their every move, point out all the bad and nothing good and intentionally, metaphorically speaking, drive them into the ground. Witness Jindal who is under intense fire for daring to look at what happens to his state AFTER the federal stimulus $ run out and as a result may turn down $ from this boondoggle called a stimulus package.
Same will happen to Sanford, Cantor, DeMint, etc...
I may sound pessimistic, but we need someone that can withstand the shots, from a media standpoint, and still remain standing..the question is, who will that person be..
