If we don’t unite on a better candidate in 2012, we’re sunk because I and countless others like me in the party will never support Palin.

Maybe by then you would support the " O" over Palin? No canidate is going to be 100%, but Sarah would knock it out of the ballpark compared to the O who will destroy the entire ballpark!
