Is this a rebuttal or a campaign speech?
I’m not impressed with his delivery and he’s rambling.

Gov Jindal’s appeal is that he looks honest.

I’m not impressed. He should be attacking with facts. Sounds weak to me. Not encouraging.

I think Jindal is terrible tonight. Of course these ‘responses’ whoever gives them are ridiculous, but Jindal just does not have presence tonight. He looks too young, he sounds squeaky and un-serious. His ideas are right, but it's all about theater these days.

we’re doomed! This guy might be a great thinker, but this speach sucks

Gov Jindal did hit the high points... tax cuts, spending cuts, strong military, limited govt, fiscal discipline and personal responsibility. Great.
On substance Jindal did a good job. On presentation, however, not so good.

Jindel tried to hit an Elephant with a B B gun. He didn’t
get to the meat of the problem or the Communists we are up
against.

I HATE DAVID BROOKS. He just ripped Jindal and the GOP on PBS.

I call for Jindal/Palin 2012 —
I am a 27-yr-old married woman who has tons of friends and family in the same age bracket. We’d be campaigning like crazy for this duo. On another note, I personally spoke with a group of 80-yr-old-plus ladies recently who LOVE Sarah Palin. It’s not a lost cause...I just need to know what to do to make help make this happen, and I’ll do it.

I just read the whole thread and learned one thing. You can talk about dogsh** and people will love it as long as you look and sound good while you’re doing it.

All the comments about presence and charisma are a little jejune, imo. I think Jindal did well overall and I have no doubt he would totally eviscerate any GOP 2012 hopefuls and then Obama in a debate.

I thought Jindal did a great job. However the one worlders on Fox did not.

Don’t worry. McQueeg is giving his own rebuttal in a live interview on CBS right now.

Actually, Jindal’s speech kinda reminded me of Kathleen Sebelius’s response to Bush’s last SOTU speech. Stiff and boring.
To: Jean S
Started out as fluff, but ended strong.
Overall, a very good response.

It was bad, sadly. And here is the thing; Obama bombed big. It was such an opportunity to slay him. It just didn't happen. He got better towards the end, but unfortunately I'm afraid people stopped listening before he was done. Lost opportunity. Not lost forever; just tonight. It won't matter by Friday.
To: Jean S
I don’t know about whether it was a great speech. The man spoke for me.
Thanks, Bobby. Good job.
