I think it did to a small extent. But it was counter-balanced by two factors: (i) with each passing year, the Haredim & Kippa Sruggim are a larger share of the population, increasing the overall Jewish birth rate; and (ii) the birth rate among secular and traditional Jews has risen modestly, largely as the Russian birthrate has increased from one similar to Russia (1.2-1.5 kids per mother) to one similar to secular Israel (2-2.5 kids).
