I had to take a sip when he said that we invented the automobile. He should have spoken to the French and Germans before making that statement.
This is a small group. Let me ask you this. My son has a friend that is in the Air Force. He has not been to Iraq, but he has talked to many who have been. He claims that not one of them think we should be there etc.
Now we have Michelle O, “working with”/subverting our military families.

I’m not sure I understand; His friends associates in the Air Force think they should not be there. Do they mean, as of today or should NEVER have been there? Or do you know?
Also, to be clear, to what respect has she is subverting? ( i’m not saying she isn’t, just not sure of the specific context.)

As for Michelle...if she is “working with” the families, she is brainwashing them, especially the wives, which will in turn feed that crap to their husbands, particularly among the enlisted men.
I do not understand why a single Republican Congressman would want Obama’s autograph. I would not ever want that or to speak to him or to shake his hand. In fact I would do everything possible to avoid any of it. These people are all so dishonest.
My son-in-law was in the Air Force. He loved it and did very well. He won award after award for various things. Then one day they offered him a job at the White House. Clinton was Pres at the time, and although he would have loved to be at the White House, he turned it down because he could not stand the thought of being around Clinton everyday. He is a man of character. None of these jerks are:(
That’s disgusting on her part. Those wives and moms stress enough an that additional wedge can destroy a family. And many of those guys do get it, although their wives here grow weary. And there are typically kids involved. Unreal.
Many enlisted are pretty young and don’t know the history, and frankly have no comprehensive understanding of how we got to where we are. And that’s a shame. Hopefully one day they will see a new landscape there, and realize the remarkable contribution that they made.
I have Air Force, in the family and from what I gather, they just want to fly. Granted, they are Pilots.
Their concern relates back to the Clinton years and worry that bad times are coming. Under Clinton, the cut backs were so bad that pilots could not stay qualified via air time because fuel budgets were cut back so drastically.
What was that with Jindel?? Did anyone look at his speech before he gave it? He is supposed to be our up and coming? We are oh so screwed!
