Obama delivered the anti-business message that there is no end in sight to the spending plans of the Democrats. I don't see a market bottom until we see the bottom of the spending.

I agree with you. Sooner or later, (likely later, when the pols start thinking about Campaign 2010) profligate spending will stop. It's going to be a long 12 months, or so, though.

I figure that there's still a little room to go down in the market, but that the absolute worst is over. We'll likely bounce around this level until pols pull their act together and figure out that the bulk of their constituents dont *want* to spend their childrens' inheritances on Polar Bear Exhibits and Grants to Starving Artists.

Going to be a good while before we recover, though. Unfortunately, any recovery will be trunpeted as "Thanks to the Democrats". Just like this landslide loss of value was "Bush's Fault".
