So shorting is good or bad? The market numbers will go down tomorrow but will come back up later?

I'm no expert, but I think that if you short, you have to make your margin call, which is that you have to cover the costs by the close of business. I think that means you need to show collateral to prove that you can cover the costs until you buy, or it might mean that you have to buy by the end of the day. I don't think you can keep a short position open indefinitely.
