Jagger ring wrangle goes to court

Bianca Jagger is a prominent human rights campaigner

An Austrian man who found a platinum ring belonging to human-rights activist Bianca Jagger is suing her for not paying him a reward. Reinhard Ringler found the ring, worth 200,000 euros ($254,000; £175,000), in Salzburg last year.

According to Austrian law, he is due 5% of the value - 10,000 euros.

Ms Jagger, who was once married to the Rolling Stone singer Mick Jagger, refuses to pay as she says Mr Ringler took too long to return the item. She claims he is not entitled to the reward as he took eight days to give it to the police.

Mr Ringler says he initially gave the platinum and aquamarine ring to his daughter, thinking it was worthless, and only realised its value when he saw reports of the lost ring in the media.

Ms Jagger's lawyer said that, as an alternative, she offered to pay 9,000 euros to Amnesty International and the remaining 1,000 to Mr Ringler's daughter.

However, negotiations have fallen through and the case will go to court in Salzburg during May.

Don’t know why she and Mick split the sheets, but from this article, she sounds like a real pleasant person...not.

Cheats a poor shmuck out of his statutory reward and offers a tithing to his daughter while she’ll take a 9,000 euro tax deduction for giving the shmucks money to a bunch of protestors.

Another Socialist country. Requiring people to get paid for doing the right thing. As it is the law there I suppose I’d be aggravated that Jagger didn’t pay up. But I’d still feel good I had returned something that wasn’t mine anyway.

This b**ch was in court last year in NYC trying to keep a rent control apartment in her name. She had a rent control apt on PARK AVE and she only has a tourist visa! She only lived there part time! Her attorney admitted she was a snow bird.

I had a friend who knew her when she was a student in France, and she was dating Michael Caine, before she met Mick Jagger-he claimed she was one of the coldest bitches he ever met.
