Thanks for the response. I’ve been thinking about that, too. I’m familiar with communism and its influence on the human spirit, and I agree with your thinking - socialism establishes poverty and provides perverse disincentives to work, save, and be productive.
I’m talking about a pre-emptive strike. The left needs to confiscate our wealth to establish their power - and, yes, once established, then they can use the state to perpetuate themselves, although not forever - the immortal Hegelian superstate only lasted 70 years for the Soviets.
My thought is that we starve the attempt to establish themselves. I don’t know if it will work or if it is quixotic daydreaming. I just don’t want to quietly walk into that dark night.
