Please.
Exactly. Some states allow 14 year olds to get an abortion without parental permission, yet somehow Bristol needs Mom’s permission for an interview.
Agreed! The last time I looked, Eighteen was the age of Adulthood in the U.S.! What was Sarah going to do, send her to her room?!
oppppsssssss!!! Sorry about the caps.
Having to come up with programs of interest to viewers 5 times a week is no small task.
They (most) want tabloid type shows to attract the audiences.
A sign of our age.
The daughter might very well loved the opportunity to appear on a national popular show. The chance of a lifetime.
Who knows?
I am a 100% supporter of Sarah Palin.
I joined and donated to TeahSarah, and several other Sarah sites.
I have a "God Bless Sarah Palin" bumper sticker on the front AND back of my car.
Yet I must agree it was stupid for Sarah to put her 18 year old daughter in front of a national TV camera.
I saw the interview, and my perception was that Sarah was more interested than her daughter Bristol in showing off the new baby, and in getting the daughter's story out into the media.
Bottom line: nothing good ever comes from putting an 18-year old in front of a national TV reporter (even if it is Greta).
And it was certainly not helpful for Bristol to insist that teenage abstinence is "unrealistic."
I believe that Sarah was so proud of her new grandchild ... and wanted to show her off ... that she let emotions get the better of her logic.
As I recall Bristol was asked when she told her mother she was doing the interview. She answered the day before. Greta announced since Bristol was 18 she did not have to have her mothers permission. Don't think Sarah had a say in the whole deal Just like Bristol deciding to have sex, mom didn't have a say in that decision after the fact.
The Bush daughters didn't get pregnant, but they sure partied and did plenty of embarrassing thing to the President.
Kids for better or worse make their own decisions.
