CNN analyst Gloria Borger tossed that one on Thursday, with all its pejorative assumptions about hidden or not-so-hidden racial animus, noting New England states had no House Republicans.

I would be upset with such a moronic statement by Borger, except that CNN has no viewership. It is getting to the point that I do not care what these empty suits and skirts say. I have talk radio where I can get genuine news, even-handed analysis, thought-provoking discourse from which to make up my mind.

The alphabet channels are no longer relevant. I expect jibberish from all of them and get it; it is tedious and repetitious (boring). That's all!

I fly commercial around the country a fair amount. In virtually every waiting area, United/American/Delta/somewhat less for SW, CNN is blaring away into the private peace of the waiting traveler. Every chance I get I ask the counter agent why must we be assaulted by political talk? Wouldn't Mozart, or Yanni, or even U2, present a more pleasant traveling experience to your patient clientele? I mean it really would, wouldn't it? Usual answer: company policy.
