Oh geez...I hope the State Department and every institution that does study abroad to Egypt pulls the students out.

My Arabic teacher is in Egypt after getting a scholarship to study intensive Arabic for a year, and she was staying in Cairo. I hope she’s ok....

My daughter took her two kids to Cairo and to the pyramids last spring. I almost had a fit!

There were no bad incidents, other than a camel spitting at them.

That’s an overreaction. I studied at the American University in Cairo and lived in Egypt for nearly three years. I always felt safe. I even married an Egyptian Coptic Christian last year and had my wedding reception at a hotel by the Pyramids. More terrorism since 2000 has occurred in New York, Madrid, Istanbul, Bali, London, etc. than in Cairo.
