What if he took the job ? What then ? It’s an honest job. Better than being the CEO of Merrill Lynch and wasting tax dollars on a $1400 toilet bowl.
Me either. His staff would STEAL the nail bin and redistribute them to the needy.
What took you so long ?go over to DU, who wants to hear empty Bush bashing here?
You’re so brilliant, you forgot the “Its all bush’ fault.”
Grow up.
thanks. the number of immature, and ignorant posters that just pop up with “bush’s fault” is ridiculous.
THEY of course, could run the country. ha.
I miss this man something fierce. And I know he was far from a principled conservative.
Some folks here just can’t get enough of Bush bashing, even when the facts they spew aren’t there. Geez. I’m getting soooo tired of them.
You got it. It's better than being an overpaid parasite like Bubba C. or his former VP, suddenly by virtue of having held those offices experts and authorities on everything under the sun. I find the worship of ex POTUSES, whoever they might be, sickening. Nixon at least wrote books and, gasp, horror, wrote them himself!
I cannot stand these know-it-all's that constantly say Mr. Bush was/is/always will be the worst president.
I retort on threads with: "I didn't know it was 2029 already"... they get stumped by my "revelation."
It is guaranteed that Mr. Bush will be elevated to the top 10-15 presidents in 20 years... it is not a thread, but the truth :-)
Is my understanding that Mrs. Bush laid down the law that they had to live in Dallas a majority of the time... what the Mrs. wants, the Mrs. ALWAYS gets... those are the rules... even for a former President :-)
I may not go that far, but will say he squandered missed opportunities.
thread => threat

Well said.
>> At least Obama pays attention to his constituents.
> Meaning the LEFT. It was not an endorsement of Obama.
Sure sounds like an endorsement to me.
I’ve been at odds with GWB also, mostly in his second term which I saw as one huge disappointment after another. Most of my frustration came from knowing that he’s a decent and principled guy. Ergo I couldn’t understand some of his stances.
However, especially considering what we’re facing now, I miss him immensely.
I believe he did what HE thought was best, but we'll be a long time getting over the damage he did to the GOP.
