The problem with offering such proof to Old-Earth Evos is that no level of proof is sufficient, because it is an article of faith that any contradiction of long-age accuracy is false by definition.

The estimates of the age of the earth have been shifting for a long time. Generally, they have shifted in the direction of implying great age. What happens is you get more and more items (fossils, geologic layers, radiometric dating) that all agree on one thing -- that the universe is MUCH older than 6000 years.
