I forgot that you have trouble following an argument in paragraphs that are more than one sentence long.

Sorry.

I’ve been trying to find out exactly what happened in Georgia.

Some sites claim that the issue was renaming the winter break “Christmas holiday” or “Christmas vacation.”

This claim is supported by the statement from the school board’s PR director that I linked to earlier.

(And I notice you have nothing to say about the fact that it was called the “holiday break” for years before the “Christmas” renaming issue.)

Others claim that the issue was removing the word “Christmas” altogether.

This is what you implied when you wrote “For as long as there’s been a Newton School board Dec. 25th has always been referred to as Christmas.”

There’s a difference.

Are you capable of seeing the difference?

So did they stop calling Dec. 25th Christmas, or not?

You write, “I don’t have problems with foreigners until they come over here demanding Christmas be removed from public calendars.”

One of the cases from the catholicleague site I mentioned involved a Jewish person who objected to calling the holiday “Christmas recess.”

Is she a “foreigner” who has “come over here”?

Or is she a, you know, American citizen who doesn’t happen to celebrate Christmas?

Can you imagine such a thing?

You’re insufferably, wantonly mixed up and incoherent. It’s comical because one doesn’t know if you do it on purpose or you really are this completely off, or a combination of both.

I don’t have problems with Jewish people not wanting to call it “Christmas recess”, but I sure do when they demand EVERYONE not call it “Christmas recess” which is exactly the case here.

I’ve know several Jewish people, actually I tend to many elderly Jewish people doing my job and they and their families think it’s absolutely preposterous to go around demanding Christmas ANYTHING publically be silenced or renamed or whatever when such a subject’s come up, just so feelings aren’t hurt or the playing field is leveled or no one’s offended, etc..

It’s the same hopeless liberalism that leads to kids not keeping score because everyone’s a winner. Or every kid gets a trophy because all of them are mvp’s. Or no more dodgeball so no one gets their poor feelings hurt.

Liberalism is simply deranged nonsense.

Do you understand this? Will you EVER?

And going around trying to change American culture and tradition which is PLAINLY Christian, (after all your pal acknowledged it was the dominant and this all enormously powerful force in America), is absolutely the most idiotic kind of ridiculous PC liberalism run amok.

Get a life already. Leave our country and traditions alone! If Christmas or Christianity bother you people this much, places like Cuba would welcome you with open arms and the weather’s great! Or get a shrink to tend to your feelings but leave normal people out of your insecurities!

Now if this country had been founded predominantly, and settled predominantly by Jewish people, you might actually have a valid point.

Which would be a first for you.

I wouldn’t go to Israel demanding “Hannukkah break” be renamed “holiday break” so my feelings wouldn’t be hurt.

And yes, I know that “American citizens” don’t celebrate Christmas, to each his own; but again they’re free to celebrate or not celebrate whatever they like whenever they like. This gives them no right to DEMAND to change our heritage, our culture and our traditions to keep them happy or from being offended or make them feel better about their feelings.

I also know “American citizens” make images of Mary out of dog-crap and call that art.

And I don’t have a bit of use for them either.
