Calling me blind as a bat isn’t much of an argument.
I’m talking about Islam AS A RELIGION, not the activities or beliefs of current Muslims. Islamofascism is more a cultural/political movement using religion as an excuse to drum up support.
The fact that there *are* moderate, 21st-century, non-violent, non-backwards Muslims (including clerics) shows that adherents of the religion *can* adapt, I take that as a positive sign. Not from a universalist, “multi-faith” standpoint, but from the standpoint of somebody who doesn’t want people to bomb markets or cut peoples’ heads off or whatever other craziness they come up with.
From a Christian standpoint, there is no difference in terms of salvation, but I’m not arguing about that.
And your “moderate 21st century non-violent non-backwards Muslims” have had absolutely NOTHING TO SAY every time there is another bombing, honor killing, girls’ school destroying, or any other Islamic atrocity.
The recent beheading right here in the good ol’ USA is getting shoved under the table as Islamists pressure the police not to refer to it as an honor killing.
Silence, silence, and more silence is what we kaffirs get from the “progressive and moderate” Muslims in our midst.
Each one of them is a suicide bomb waiting to go off and either you know it or I stand by my original characterization.
