I've been putting that feeling to good use - stocking up on food, supplies, and precious metals (including lead). And getting an evacuation plan in order when the real violence starts in the city. Let that feeling help you to prepare.

It has been...I'm trying to do everything you have listed above. I'm waiting on my firearm permit, and thankfully I live out in the woodsy suburbs with well water and a cellar I've been slowly stocking up with canned and frozen goods. And I'm seriously planning a little garden come spring...not something I'd ever been interested in before, but it is now! Thanks for your reply...always like to know what other FReepers are doing.

Excellent! I'm afraid I can't think of anything else to do with that little feeling of despair/panic whatever we call it. I guess it won't go away and we'll have to live with it. It will keep us vigilant, though. I've also never been interested in gardening - and like you, will at least try it this year. You're lucky you have a cellar and are in the suburbs (or perhaps that's good planning on your part.)
