In China, Clinton Focuses on Climate
NY Times ^ | 2/21/09 | Mark Landler

BEIJING — Declaring “we hope you won’t make the same mistakes we made,” Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton invited China to join the United States in an ambitious effort to curb greenhouse gases, as she toured an energy-efficient power plant in Beijing on Saturday.

“When we were industrializing and growing, we didn’t know any better; neither did Europe,” Mrs. Clinton said. “Now we’re smart enough to figure out how to have the right kind of growth.”

The gas-fired power plant, which uses sophisticated turbines made by General Electric, is nearly twice as efficient as the coal-fired plants that supply much of China’s electricity, and helped vault China past the United States as the world’s leading emitter of carbon dioxide.

They’re laughing at her.

They want to make money not climb on the bogus global warming train. They’re not stupid.

“How completely irrelevant that stupid ***** is!”

And - as are so very many libs - completely technically dense.

Another lib woman - would be at McDs save for her marriage.

See “conservative” for smart, self accomplished women.

excerpt:

Human rights groups have criticized Mrs. Clinton for soft-pedaling Tibet and other issues during her first visit as secretary of state. She said she did not want these disputes to interfere with critical challenges like climate change, the global economic crisis, and security concerns.

It was a stark contrast to 1995, when Mrs. Clinton, then first lady, gave a now-legendary speech in Beijing at a United Nations conference, in which she cataloged abuses against women and concluded, “human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights.”

Hitlery, like Obomba and the crew he has crawled through the sewers to assemble, are plainly ignorant Marxists.

They want to void our Constitution, but think only a humongous stimulus package is the road to go.

Give them time. They're learning nation destruction as they go along.

Screwing around with China over Gorebal Warming is so nonsensical it defies any logic.

Americans right now don’t care anywhere near as much about global warming or human rights or even wars as we do our pocket books and our family financial situation. It is ridiculous to push an agenda that lowers growth, as the anti-carbon dioxide stuff does, in a time of threatened depression.

They're laughing at her through smiling faces.

When all else fails, stroke her. Pour on the flattery.

“Mrs. Clinton got a warmer reception at lunch with Dai Bingguo, a member of the powerful State Council. “You look younger and more beautiful than you look on TV,” he exclaimed. Mrs. Clinton was momentarily nonplused, before replying, “Well, we will get along very well.” “

She probably believes THIS and that statement alone will have her believing her trip was a smashing success.

What is she smoking. People are losing their jobs, left and right. Is she referring to saving from unemployment checks?

“On the global economic crisis, the two governments said they would work together to chart a recovery. Mrs. Clinton said she expected to see changes in the economic relationship between China, with its high savings rate, and the United States, with its heavy borrowing.”

Guess we'll just have to bail out the debt of those who are most irresponsible.

“During their meeting, she said, Mr. Yang told her that Chinese people were spending more on home appliances. “It would also be fair to say that that many Americans have now come to terms with the fact that saving might be a good habit to acquire,” Mrs. Clinton said.”

LOL!!!

Liberals are fools and when they go and display this to our enemies God they make us a tempting target. The Chinese are building a navy, nuke subs, mobile land ICBM’s, and they see this idiot Clinton come there to toss human rights under the bus and go on and on about not buying too many appliances.

And NO ONE in our political class is willing to point out this woman and her husband took illegal Red Chinese Army money! She should be nowhere near our foreign policy.

It all depends on what the meaning of “we” is.

Yeah, all those mistakes made us the richest, most powerful country in the world. Now Obama, Clinton. et. al. are asking us to committ economic suicide in the name of a hoax. The Chinese are not that stupid.

But nonetheless, Harry promises the Senate will charge full speed ahead with "Climate Change" legislation later this summer. Around July-August, no doubt.

Mr. Yang repeated China’s customary statement that Beijing is ready to discuss human rights with Washington on the basis of “equality and non-interference in each other’s affairs.” The “smiling faces” on Chinese people, he said, attested to the country’s respect for human rights.

She thanked Mr. Yang for China’s “continuing confidence” in the United States as the largest foreign buyer of Treasury securities. He offered a noncommittal statement that China would decide where to invest its foreign-exchange reserves on the basis of safety, value, and liquidity.

So far, the United States and China are mainly collaborating on research projects and ventures like the power plant. The harder work, analysts said, will come if the United States presses China to accept mandatory caps on its emissions — something Beijing has so far rejected.

Of course, they will reject it. The Chinese government has enough sense to realize that the Global Warming Scare is simply leftist propaganda. Why in hell should they have any concerns?

"Let the West's leftists choke off their own economies", they will say. "We will inherit the wreckage those fools made."
