Except for the destroying America thing— this whole Obama as President episode is kind of funny.

What's really funny is hearing someone like Bill Maher say that Obama is the smartest prez since he could remember.

Truism du jour!...and to elaborate in my way of thinking:

Except for the destroying America thing— this whole Obama as President Carteresque episode is kind of funny. Seems Iran will hold Obama hostage for as long as they held Carter Hostage! We need another Reagan, but I'd be satisfied with a Teddy Roosevelt.

I've always been fascinated by disaster movies and books. Current favorites are about huge comet and asteroid strikes, Deep Impact (movie) and Lucifer's Hammer (book).

They put the petty doings of Prez O in perspective.

Other fun disaster books are the old When Worlds Collide, No Blade of Grass and The Ragged Edge, and a movie now more pertinent, Red Dawn.
