I figured Caroline would succeed her uncle. Whatever her problems that kept her from taking the seat in New York would be overlooked in Massachusetts. She’s a Kennedy after all, and in Massachusetts, Kennedys are gods and can do no wrong. Especially the daughter of beloved JFK.
That seat has belonged to the Kennedy family since 1952. Since Teddy was too young to replace Jack in 1960, and Bobby was needed elsewhere, they had a family retainer hold the seat warm for two years until Teddy had passed his 30th birthday (Feb. 22, 1962).
After uhuhuhuh Carolyn’s uhuhuhuh rollout.....looks like Ted has pulled the royal carpet out from under her.....LOL!
