Ervin Gonzalez told his fellow Florida Bar Board of Governors members: If you frame the issue of what this is really about, we are all in favor of this request. The goal is putting children first. Its not an endorsement of an alternative lifestyle.
In less than a half hour, on January 30 in Tallahassee, the Board of Governors voted unanimously (with one recusal) to allow the Family Law Section to file an amicus brief supporting 11th Circuit Judge Cindy Ledermans November 25, 2008, decision to declare F.S. §63.042(3) unconstitutional and to allow homosexual foster parents to adopt two brothers they had nurtured for four years.

The membership railed against this previously. The family law section wants to allow the overturning of Florida’s prohibition on homosexuals adopting children. (it has stood three challenges: two state supreme court cases and one 11th DCA federal case, USSC appeal denied)
Even though no money is going to be used, these homsexual advocates are cashing in on the credibility of the florida bar. This is the same excuse they tried and failed before. Now they are doing what the left always does, they are circumventing the legislature and going back to the courts now that there has been new judges put on the bench.

What liberal idiotic nonsense.
If you are really concerned for children you would never place them with admitted perverts.
Why stop at homosexuals? Why not rapists, or known drug addicts ?
By placing a child in a homosexual enviroment you are indeeed endorsing the homo lifestyle.
But you are not
The goal is putting children first.
No, it is not. - You do not put them "first" by teaching by such example.
Its not an endorsement of an alternative lifestyle.
Yes, it is.
Just like Obama and other Marxists -- they will say anything, including blatant falsehoods, in order to get their agenda through. This obviously has nothing to do with putting children first (a mother and a father is best for a child, all other things being equal), and has everything to do with endorsing an alternative lifestyle.
This doesn’t surprise me as family lawyers are notoriously Demorats.
The proper stance for a bar association is to take no stance. There is no one “proper” stance for a Florida lawyer to take on this contentious political issue.
