FOX News Poll: Obama's One-Month Report Card
FOX News ^ | February 19, 2009

Posted on 02/19/2009 10:49:07 AM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

One month into Obama's term 60 percent of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president, down from 65 percent three weeks ago (27-28 January 2009). Similarly, the portion of people that disapproves has increased to 26 percent, up from 16 percent. Almost all of the change can be attributed to a decrease in approval and an increase in disapproval among Republicans. In fact, among Obama's party faithful, his job approval has gone up from 85 percent in late January to 90 percent today.

Views of Obama as a person have also dipped. Today 68 percent have a favorable opinion of him and 25 percent unfavorable. Last month Obama had his highest favorable rating to date when 76 percent of Americans said they had a positive opinion and 15 percent unfavorable (13-14 Jan 2009). His average favorable rating for the last six months is 59 percent, with the lowest being 56 percent in October 2008. [snip]

And a 42 percent plurality thinks the press is being too easy on the Obama administration — more than twice as many as say the press is being too tough (20 percent). Some 31 percent think he is receiving even-handed treatment in the news.

Amazing how thick and dark the veil that covers the eyes of people.

The delusion is strong....they love him.

It's the media's 24/7 propaganda.

These numbers are similar to those from Ras (60 approve, 30 disapprove).

Isn’t this a fair amount of change for a single month? Or is it characteristic of the first month in office?

It appears that many people love him, but don’t like anything about him. It’s akin to being in a bad marriage.

“The delusion is strong...”

That's the only explanation.

For those interested, the Chicago Sun-Times just announced that Patti Blagojevich just had the records from her Real Estate practice subpoenaed.

She did deals for Rezko....what may she know about Obama’s very strange purchase of his Hyde Park res? Or, Rez?

I thought it would be higher because of the presstitution racket’s earnest efforts. Absent the promised miracles, nowhere to go but down. Also, this ‘save the losers’ homeowner plan is not going over well with the +90% of responsible buyers...

These Obamabots are the same people who thought all was well during the Clinton years and then 9-11 happened and they went into shock.
The current world wide predictive signs of what is coming is scary.

20% think the press is being too tough on Obama? If they were any more favorable, they would out-do Pravda's coverage of Stalin in the 1930s.

It’s a two minute, two mile mentality. Their brains function only two minutes in the future and the past and their area of focus is a two mile diameter, hence a liberal democrat.
