I think the Secret Service did go overboard. The evidence against Harrison was the bumper sticker. The Secret Service told the OKC cops they did not consider it a threat. Therefore, they had no justification to visit the “offender” (other than to apologize on behalf of fellow law enforcement officers) and they had absolutely no valid reason to ask to inspect the home since the sticker wasn’t considered threatening. (BTW, I do have a lot of respect for the SS. I just hope Obama does too. The SS might be over-reacting right now because they don’t know where they stand with this administration.)
It would have been better had the ss visited the offending officer and searched his home instead. Just to make sure he didn't have any one imprisoned.
