Kmiec in Chicago Trib: GOP Shows 'No Interest in Family, Work or Neighborhood'

For the Chicago Tribune, Romney supporter turned Obama man Douglas Kmiec indulged in quite a litany of name-calling, finger pointing and demagoguery against the GOP that would have been amazing from the same man only one year ago. Hopefully questioning "The Death of the GOP," Kmiec has shown that he no longer cares much how he is viewed, going full Democrat Partisan at this point.

Kmiec fits nicely into the media’s political narrative: Fake former Republicans who actually hate Republicans. Nothing original here.

Yikes.

Either he's just decided just to go "all in" and abandon his former party AND his religious faith (which he supposedly was so attached to) . . .

. . . or, as my dad used to say, Obama's got pictures of him in a low-class house of ill repute.

Straight from the Democratic handbook - only increasing government spending and increasing taxes is showing true compassion.

We know it’s not true, but we’re having a harder and harder time convincing enough people to vote our way.

My Lord... this reads just like something out of Atlas Shrugged.

I`m starting to wonder the same thing. Either they have something on him or he`s been bought off.

The pro-abortion activist, and former Catholic, Douglas Kmiec, went definitively over to the dark side a long time ago.

Someone on another thread suggested that he should get an MRI ... presumably of his brain. Brain tumours can cause truly bizarre changes in behaviour.

Remember this is the guy who wants to be the US ambassador to the Vatican.

With that in mind, this latest outburst is likely for the consumption of Obama and his acolytes. It's the political version of a gang initiation.

In order to become a member of "the gang", you have to commit some crime at the bidding of a senior gang member, usually against members of a rival gang. This is Kmiec's price of initation into the "Obama boys".

"OK Doug, ya wanna ride wid us? Go trash dem Republicans."

Doug's hoping that a trip to Rome will be his reward.

I wonder what he’s afraid of. This reads like testimony in one of the soviet show trials of the thirties.

And if not that, then a trip to Malta, or Monaco, or that federal judgeship that Bush did not give him...

And exactly WHAT makes him think that the boys under the dome would receive him after he's trashed the faith in order to get in good with O?

Has the Vatican ever refused an ambassador's credentials? This might be a good time to start.

I don't think there's much chance of it though. Once O's caught the fish he isn't going to throw in any more bait. That's the Chicago way.

He may now get a job with MSNBuChanan representing the “good guy reasonable Conservative” side of the argument on Hardball.

A sound private sector economy, not government hand outs, is what is best for families, work and neighborhoods. These are prudential matters about which people agree, Kmiec, so don’t try to display the Democrat party line as Catholic doctrine.

Yes, Argentina's and France's nominees were not accepted due to behavior not consonant with Catholic teaching.

CNA had a report a couple of weeks ago that a Kmiec ambassadorship would not fly whatsoever.

I think they usually try to get ahead of it by sending a warning, “don’t you dare appoint So-and-So or else. . . “ They did that recently, did they not—was it one of the people Bush was considering? Or is this a vague memory from the Klintoon-Comic days?
